Default Release date?

Hi,

Sorry if this is a FAQ, but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. Anyone have a clue on a possible release/launch date?

Very excited to give this a try.

I'm also curious about the release date. Can someone from Avid please give those of us that signed up months ago an answer? There doesn't seem to be any information available. Thanks

'Release Date?' That's the 64bit question isn't it?

AVID mentioned 'the first quarter of 2015' as its target release date. Obviously that hasn't quite worked out...

Worse than postponing the release date is the complete lack of communication & information about this.

Hopefully never.

I still don't get the appeal of this program. Maybe someone can help me?

Why have a crippled version of Pro Tools where you have to buy proprietary plugins? You could just rent PT vanilla for a whole month for 29 bucks.

Default So Where is PT First?

Announced at NAMM January - it's May and nowhere to be seen
I get they are taking a page out the Slate playbook - announce something then a year later it's still not available …..

A continual Demo.
Usable for one offs in creation.
Not such a bad idea.
I use to like the MIDI features in 'Pro Tools Free' (Vx) for drafting.

Received the same email about a week ago, and still nothing. I've read somewhere that it's currently in beta testing (still!), and the full availability is coming this summer, so I wouldn't hold my breath
