Saving a song(audio, fade, ind.tracks) to CD?
Two questions, can I send my brother(who also has a digi 001) a CD of the complete session files(fade, audio, multi-tracks? Also, I have a friend who is running the Digi001 on PC, can we send each other saved versions like I asked about above and have them be "cross-platform compatible"?
Thanks ahead of time! Steve |

Re: Saving a song(audio, fade, ind.tracks) to CD?
Assuming you are running PT LE 5.1:
-If your brother is running PT LE 5.0.1 or earlier, you will need to choose File>Save Session Copy In and save the session(s) files in PT 5 format. For cross platform compatibility, you and your PC friend must be running PT LE 5.1: -Open the desired session(s) in Pro Tools 5.1 Mac -Choose File>Save Session Copy In” -Choose either AIFF or WAV for the Audio File Type -Enable the “Enforce Mac/PC Compatibility” option -If you are burning CD’s of your data to bring over to the PC, make sure you use the ISO9660 format. -If you are using SCSI, you can copy all of your audio and session data (once converted) to the drive and mount it on the PC using a program from Datviz called MacOpener http://www.dataviz.com It allows you to read, write, and format Mac HFS drives, CD's, Floppies etc. |
