Firewire 800 -> 400 Converter cable
hello all,
anyone able to inform me which cable is required for connecting to the imac to the 002r? I've noticed that there are 9-6 and 9-4 pin cables and i've searched the duc numerous times and havent found anything conclusive, just the fact to go get a 800 to 400 cable. thanks paul. |

Re: Firewire 800 -> 400 Converter cable
The Apple store sells a Belkin adapter cable that works fine. OWC www.macsales.com also has an inexpensive adapter cable that works.
Note: You should also get a firewire drive if you're planning on using Protools. It is required to use two hard drive and since the iMac only has one drive internally, you need an external firewire drive (not USB as it is not supported).
