Well that seems to be a burst of rage, indeed.

But there *are* some things Digi could do wiser. DUC is veeery slow. "Select your country" page is kind of annoying, isn't it? And compared to, let us say, IK Multimedia, their online support is quite lousy, almost not service at all (it's us users who serve each other here, you see).

I'd be happy to see some improvements on these matters, thank you. Meanwhile, give us 7.5 with Leopard support...

gotta chime in on both sides of the coin here. First off, Im a home user, PTMP 7.1.1 on an imac. I can give a rats ass about the design of the website. I bought a DAW, not a site. Now, the cons. 1st off. RTAS plugs. Why not VST? the RTAS works fine, but many plugs arent made in an exclusive format like this. I'd have paid more to get PT in a VST or AU format. 2nd thing is why am I needlessly tied to a piece of hardware and a track count limit? Once again, Id have paid double to be free of both. When I see other daws offering things like unlimited track counts, surround sound mixing and really cool stock plugs, I wonder what digi is doing to stay competitive? I do enjoy the PT workflow and use many of the features, but 500 bucks to get yet another synth and 12 more tracks seems like robbery. Furthermore, why didnt they just hit EVERYONE for another 25 bucks and make the DAW able to bounce to mp3?

FXpansion - VST to RTAS Adapter v2.0 allows you to use VST plugs with PT for $99.

I have it, but it doesnt always work. It works maybe 75% of the time. On some plugs, the plug will come up, but everything on the plug will be frozen.

hi digi, just stopped back to say i told you so. stock dropped to 16.00. quarter net loss of 5.12 million. 0.13 per share. http://www.rttnews.com/Content/Quick...d=1603945&SM=1

whats worse? i predicted the whole thing. all because of the huge markup on hardware and software. and nobody likes the stupid iLok system. people think you're complete jackasses and would rather use Logic. if you make me your director of the Pro Tools department, there's still chance for hope. otherwise, you're just waiting for Apple to crush you

The only think that can save Pro Tools is Pro Tools Free. It works like a gateway just as GarageBand does to Logic.
