Default Thoughts on this Laptop Config (Yeah or Neah)?

DUC! What's Happenin? I need some thoughts about this laptop config I have listed below. Do you think this will work pretty good with my Digi 002r? For what I could afford I got a pretty smokin deal on it. Just want some feedback and your thoughts on how it could be better or worse, things to add or take out, and what not. Thank You! I really appreciate all the help I have received from you guys! I really rely on you!

yeah!!!!!!!!! I record fine with my 5400 internal drive. Im jealous u got a 7200 capability. well not that jealous. Mine works fine. U can turn off the wi-fi. Make different profiles for internet and music production. You will be fine. Except u need to spend 80-90 dollars I think for windows xp. OS system is the only thing holding u back, easily remedied unless ur wallet is empty.

Make sure the chipset is compatable. You will also be turning off all the power monitor stuff. A few tracks you can probably record onto the OS drive. You just cannot record 32 tracks on an OS drive. If you are planning to ever using an MBOX for mobile recording, make sure the USB port provides enough power.

Thank You for those who responded! I do have a Maxtor 300 GB 7200 RPM External Firewire/ USB 2.0 hard drive. It also has the 915PM chipset so I guess I should be O.K. Kinda conscerned about the XP media edition though. I paid $1565.00 for this unit! Please let me know if anyone has anymore thoughts on making this laptop better. I should get it sometime next week and plan on doing a DaveC test on it. Hopefully this will be O.K. for Pro Tools 7. Also I do have a heavy duty AMD Athlon rackmount computer with 1 GB of ram, 2 Maxtor 7200 RPM H.D.s, Firewire that I can also mix on because the laptop is just to use in the field for live stuff.

Thanx DUC!
