Default QUESTION ABOUT PITCHING

HOW DOES THE UNIT "CENTS" CONVERT TO % WHEN PITCHING A SONG? FOR EXAMPLE, IF I WANT TO PITCH A SONG AT 2%, HOW MANY CENTS IS THAT?

you talking about making it sound sort of like it has a chorus effect slightly by taking it off pitch or by putting it back in key? I have never heard of it being refferenced as % instead of cents before, but you might try adjusting it by ear and refferencing it on a couple different sets of speakers to see how it sounds. If you are putting a chorus type of effect with the shift, you might try about 4-10 cents. goodluck

the definition of cent might help.

The percentage of difference would depend on where you were measuring from; percentage of an octave? or percentage of a semitone? 2% of a semitone difference would be 2 cents. 2% of an octave difference would be 24 cents.
