Default UVI Workstation update weirdness

Does anyone here use UVI Workstation? It says that there's an update in the UVI Portal but when I try and update it after it's downloaded and installing, I get the usual "UVI workstation wants to make changes. Enter your password". Then it just does nothing and goes back to "update" in the UVI Portal after I put in my password. I've updated 2 other UVI libraries without an issue but I've never come across something like this. And it's not a Security and Privacy issue. I've checked. UVI doesn't have a forum so I thought I'd check here.

Update, I figured out a workaround. I just bypassed the UVI Portal and installed it directly.

Having no problem here doing multiple (3) updates through UVI Portal. Falcon, UVI Workstation and PX Memories. All going normal as I write. I'm on a Mac at OSX 10.13.6 - what's your operating system as you give zero system info?

The UVI Portal has a silent install option in preferences. Maybe that's what you were experiencing.

Never used that option - I like to see what's going on. Could be when Portal updated itself it reset options.

I actually got around the issue by just searching my hard drive and finding where the download file was and bypassed the portal and installed it manually. It worked fine.
