thanks for this. Yes i see the reinstatement plan for $299. That looks the way to go. However if PT 2018 needs the internet to work then I may have to go with PT 12 as my internet is unreliable.

Where did you read that?

You’re probably confused with the iLok cloud option. You can still use a regular iLok dongle.

OK, it was on one of the sites selling the program. It said for PT 2018 an internet connection is required. Perhaps it is just for the icloud part.
So you are saying it works independent of the internet as PT 11 and in fact most of my music programs do - great, as i dont need the icloud.

confirming that all should soon be sorted. I have paid Avid for the reinstatement and registered and they have upgraded me to PT12 and PT2016 on my ilok. I have asked for PT2018 but no reply yet. Its been well over a day so fingers crossed the wait isnt too long. Thank you for your support.

Something's not right if Avid gave you a combo PT12/2016 license asset for your money. Why would they give you an old obsolete PT license asset? The reinstatement as outlined earlier in this thread is a combo of PT10/11/2018.

Hopefully they can't straighten this out for you. Just keep in mid that you won't be able to run PT10 or PT11 on High Sierra. For that you'd need either OSX 10.8.5 or OSX 10.9.5. That would require either a partition of your current system drive or a second drive with the lower OSX on it.
