Default Mouse crashing in PT. Is it my Glyph Studio the culprit?

Hey guys I have a logitech m570. For some reason everytime I have protools running with my Glyph Studio HD its starts to lag really bad. I cant even exit from protools cause the trackball crashes. Ones I finally eject my GLYPH Studio it starts working back again. If I leave the Hard Drive connecting it also crashes without even being on Protools Is it because im using it with usb with the GLYPH Studio connected as USB 3 to my Mac Mini. Its embarassing when im tracking with a client and just crashes. thanks in advance
