Default Creating multiple tracks and color

Having an issue where if i create say 12 tracks i cannot color them individually? No matter what I do all of them change to the same color.

Did you check that everything looks good on Setup/Preferences/Display?

Also check whether the tracks are in a group because I "think" that will cause the color to be the same.

My guess as well. If all tracks are selected(the track names are all highlighted), Alt-click on any track name to deselect.

Yes that is what it was had to deselect.So I guess it selects all be default when you create more then one track
