Default Plugin activation problem

Hi,

When I try to activate Structure and Hybrid, I get the following message: Sorry, the code you provided is invalid. Please check for typos and try again, paying particular attention to characters that may look similar (such an "8" and a "B").

The software was NOS, in sealed boxes, from the old Virtual Instrument box set (the entire set was still sealed). Velvet activated perfectly. I already have Strike so I didn't open that.

I can see some other people are having similar problems. What can I do?
