Pro Tools corrupt-shun...
OK, it's my fault but...
After 30+ years with Digidesign/Avid I find myself not wanting to deal with this company any longer. My basic setup is Pro Tools Ultimate Perpetual-HDX-Omni. Distracted (as we all are) I allowed my $399/year annual license to lapse. I now find I haven't a clue as to the meaning of "Perpetual" as it appears that to get back to the status I enjoyed two months ago I need to pay $1,000. I'd like to discuss this with someone knowledgeable at Avid but I'm now without a support contract and Pre-Sales seems to be an empty desk. I may sell the HDX/Omni and downgrade to a 3rd party native/USB solution. While I sort out my anger and as a temporary fix, does anyone know if I can make the current system work with the mysterious $299 Digilink purchase? Thanks |
