Mac OS and mouse movement on laptop help

Hi,

I know some users here have Laptops as second/home systems etc, so maybe someone can help...

Just updated the OS and installed the latest PT LE on my ibook ready for some location work and now the mouse movement is horrible!! Not related to PT, it happens on all apps and the desktop etc. When moving the mouse, it seems the slower i move the mouse the less distance it travels on screen related to the distance i physically move the mouse, so when i get near to where i'm aiming the pointer i naturally slow down and the pointer almost stops and it becomes very difficult to hit the target. very frustrating and almost unusable

Just tried an app called sidetrack, but no go.

Hope i can get it back to normal as it's driving me nuts and i want to start doing some work at home on this system.
