Default Unable to get audio signal since Mojave Update

MACBOOK PRO: (15-inch, 2016), 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3, Macintosh HD, Intel HD Graphics 530 1536 MB, MOJAVE 10.14
UNIVERSAL AUDIO APOLLO TWIN (DUO) MK-II + Neuman TLM 103
Pro Tools 2018.12.0

I have spent about 40 hours this past week slowly going through the PT and UA knowledge bases but still cannot record anything in pro tools since updating my ios to Mojave. I have set my playback engine to universal audio thunderbolt, reset all my PT I/O/Bus to default. My core audio (audio midi setup) and Universal Audio console settings are set up properly as per the PT/UA knowledge bases videos and forums, also confirmed proper setup at a local studio by a long time PT user. (Yes, phantom power is on and all that). I am able to get a signal through garage band, which confirms this is an audio input problem in ProTools. I can listen to tracks I previously recorded in sessions, so there is output. I can also hear my voice in the UA headphone output, but I can't record audio in new sessions, nor new audio in sessions that I previously worked on.

I am thinking my next step will be to go to apple to downgrade my ios back to sierra, but wanted to see if anyone on here has any other suggestions, I really just want to record some music! Additionally I updated my Pro tools and UA interface yesterday 1/6/19 which did not correct the problem.

Please advise.

Mojave uses "microphone" as the new term for audio input.
I went thru the same thing..

Go to preferences-security& privacy click on the privacy tab
scroll down to microphone you will see a list of programs in the window, put a check mark beside pro tools.

Audio will now go into pro tools.

Cheers
Bob

yes, I had the same issue after changing to mojave. Just tell your machine to except pro tools to use your „microphones“ - thats all...
