DFH Superior
So they are offering this at $100 off if you buy now, before it's initial release on March 15th.
I really would like this program, judging by how many people rave about it. I need a good drum kit library. Any idea how well it will operate in Pro Tools LE, on a Dual 1.25? It is supposed to work as a Rewire Application. If it does, it would be pretty awesome.

Re: DFH Superior
If its anything like BFD, you will probably need at least a gig of RAM and a FW800 drive to run it properly.

Re: DFH Superior
Why would you need a FW800 port,,? or drive for that matter,,
I'm on a DP MDD 1.24,,I run BFD as a rewire and it's great,, The one thing to watch out for with DFH Superior is that it will not stream from disk,,so it will need a butt load or ram to load a kit,,i can see this as being a problem in keeping a consistent signal into PT while using it as a plug,, I'm sure the samples will sound great,,, |

Re: DFH Superior
Homeboy... Running BFD as Rewire is smooth than use it as RTAS?
I wacthed a friend of mine using it as RTAS on a G4 1.25 with 1.25 of Ram (internal HD) and the performance was a disaster (it sounds great thought).

Re: DFH Superior
I got this plug when it first came out,,and have gone through all of the updates,,it takes a bit of tuning,,but now the only problems i have are if i run it at the same time as i am doing lots of recording,,or if i have it playing back it's own grooves from with in the app it's self,,
The way arround this is to audition the grooves in the app,,then import them into PT as midi files,,, I have two session templates,,one is set up with BFD as an RTAS plug and i use this to write the grooves and get a sketch of the song going,,i then close that session and import the midi files for the drum track into my other template wich is set up as a BFD re-wire song,, Now i record all of the drum parts as seperate instruments and treat the tracks as though it were a real kit,,any audio from the first session that i like i will also import into the new session. |
