Default playlists

Hi!

On an audio track, you can switch to "playlists" to view multiple takes simultaneously. Is this possible with a midi track?

Thank you!

No. MIDI tracks do not have playlists sadly.

Sadly is right! I've been asking for this for a while. My "solution" is to add a couple of midi tracks below(EDIT window) my instrument track, so if I get a take that's worth saving, I copy it to one of the midi tracks. Not elegant at all, but better than nothing

Well... that's too bad... I guess midi performers don't get as much credence as live ones, though that's really not fair. Midi is sometimes harder than a live performance.

If I may extend this post... with another question...

Rather than playing overly complex lines into pro tools, I've found if I just notate them in Sibelius, then export them as midi into Pro Tools, I get a much more accurate take. After the midi is in pro tools, I assign it to whichever instrument, usually from Vienna Symphonic Library. Problem is, the patch changes don't work. Is there any way to make pro tools trigger a patch change at a certain time? Say for instance, first three notes staccato, second one legato.

Thank you!!
