Real Time Quantization
Hey my band and I are recording ourselves for the first time due to lack of funds to go to a real studio. We just tracked 4 of 5 of our songs on the drums, & I was wondering if there is a program that helps with quantization of real time drums to get every thing perfect with the click. I remember being at the 30 30 club studio upstate in New York and our engineer had this program that made real drum quantization real easy & efficient. I was also wondering how other people and engineers go about this process. We have never tracked drums before & are very new to this. So any help would be grateful! Hope to hear some good responses! Thanks!

Re: Real Time Quantization
Midi drums, yes. Real drums, no. You can set input quantize somewhere in PT(can't remember where right now), but I would just do it after the fact anyway. With real drums, create a group of all the drum tracks and try Elastic Audio(using a group will cause the changes to happen to all drum tracks, maintaining the phase relationships). Or try Beat Detective(which I have yet to master, but there are videos on yourtube to help guide you). Midi is easy. Highlight a section and go to Events>Quantize, and pick your settings.
