Default 003 rack not responding

I can not get the 003 to resound to any other application than PT, it does not show up in audio/midi utility it does not show up under 'sound' in 'system preferences' I can not work like this! I have updated the firmware, I am running the latest version of PT 8.0.4, what is going on?

computer Spec:

Mac OS X 10.5.8
2x 3.2 GHz Intel Quad's
16 Gig ram
2 Terabyte HD

I have a few strict deadlines to meet and this is killing me spent the hole day trying to sort this matter out, any hep be much appreciated!

I don't know if it would be any hep or not, but have you tried loading the ASIO drivers?

There is quite a bit of info about Core Audio not working properly for some people.. Search the forum for

"Core Audio Manager"
"Core Audio"

etc..

There is too much info to repeat here.

Unfortunately, for some people there has been no fix. There seem to be some combinations of MacOS and PT versions that caused problems..

Look especially for the posts where DigiTechSupport lists some preference files to delete..

Cheers mate that looks to have done the trick, to be honest that core audio manger is [bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep]e!!! I much preferred the MBox 2 Pro configuration. but need the ADAT connections.
