Further proof, if proof were needed, that for Avid, it's only about profit and not about customers.
I'm off to look at pyramix, nuendo etc

In the meantime...
Dear Avid, you need people like DTS, you suited numbskulls!

Wow.

Can you make the situation any worse for yourself AVID? The links in this thread to the company's officers and board show none of them to have any experience in audio. Unbelievable.

These people are a complete joke.

DTS was the best troubleshooter, "user helper" and "positive fan" the company ever had on their forums.

What's next? Ban Rail, crizdee and 25ghosts from posting. That'll help – NOT!

Hi,

As this is about Keith, the main support guy we all knew as DTS, it's worth mentioning that he has agreed to do a column on the AUB Air Users Blog, giving tips on troubleshooting mostly and workflow as well. So he'll be on the scene still, just not the DUC as tech support. He is still contributing to the DUC as RTFM which goes to show how passionate and how much he cares for this community.

It seems unlikely that Keith will return to his job as tech support for Avid! So we should all wish him well in his next job and hope he remains on the scene in some capacity for the foreseeable future

Chris

Way to go Keith. Many users share your passion. It's to bad that the HR dept and board does not.

Avid Technology, Inc.'s Quarterly Earnings
Avid Technology, Inc. reported 3rd quarter 2011 earnings of $0.01 per share on 10/27/2011.

Avid also closed on Friday 10/28/2011 on a 52 week low

Should any of this be a surprise ?

I wonder what that prognosis will look like in 4 months... I mean, they manage to get a 52 week low without a clusterF.... I thought they sailed pretty straight the past years.. So if straight sailing takes their stock down like that... WHAT on earth is this here TSUNAMI going to do to it...

I fear for their Future !

And here's the direct link to Keith's page on the AUB:

At least we won't lose a valuable resource of tech help because of the bull-headedness of some corporate denizens.
