It's best to do a fresh install from a clean image of W7 64. Doing an "upgrade" or installing it with a previous version in there is something I wouldn't recommend.

you must have 8.0, 8.0.1, or 8.0.3 on there first though, as described in the whitepapers. Unless they have released a full version, and Im not seeing one in my Avid account.

Ok, The main issue is that the old beta driver is finding its way back into system. After deleting it and re-installing 8.0.3 then doing the 8.0.4 update things are better. There is still an issue or two, Like "no LLM" but so far... no showstoppers. Anyway, it seems that just not powering and connecting the interface is not always enough to bury the beta driver and install the new one.

Did you remember to Delete the 8.0.3 (8.0.4b) driver FIRST, then install? The 8.0.4 release does not delete the 8.0.4b driver.

I deleted the driver before install, and I just checked availible drivers and the 8.0.4b driver from 12/16/09 is NOT there, which is correct.

This is what I ultimately did and all is well. The Beta driver was finding its way back in even after deleting it, so a clean re-install of the new 8.0.4 over the non beta 8.0.3 was the best fix.

and you are still not seein' LLM in the menu?? 002 or 003?

LLM is back now that the proper drivers are in place. 002 and 003. Installing over a clean Window7 clone offered the best results.
