Upgrading my OLD (08) Macbook pro?
I have a late '08 Macbook Pro with 10.6.8, 2.4gHz Intel Core Duo Core Processor, and 4GB Memory at 1067 Mhz DDR3
I have Pro Tools 9 I was wondering (I don't know TOO much about the internals of computers), but would I be able to purchase more Memory and a new internal Harddrive with more RAM and put it in? Or would that be a bad idea since my computer is old (and starting to show with things like freezing, shutting down, over heating, and screen blinking)? Thanks, -Kieran |

Re: Upgrading my OLD (08) Macbook pro?
these guys can give you options http://www.macsales.com/
the first 2 problems may be solved by a clean reinstall of your OS and Pro Tools the later 2 may be failing components but again a fresh OS might fix that as well but overheating is probably a bad fan
