Default Selling Unit advice

Hi all,
So,..I don't really use my 11R and thought I would sell it.

I did crossgrade to PT 9,..that was a "new product and unrelated product"
I was told...so.

Does anyone know if I can give the copy of PT 8 that comes with the 11r to the buyer?

Thanks guys

Best-

Pete

Do you already have a buyer? If not what's your price?

As far as the license goes... Once you crosscrade, that PT8 key is dissolved and that key get's re-incarnated as a PT9 key and is applied to an Ilok account. (From my understanding and what happened to my PT8 key, But I could be wrong??)

So If you just want to sell the 11R but keep PT9 since it can use any audio interface, that would be 1 option. But I don't think your PT8 key will work anymore (unless his computer doesn't have the internet and can't verify that they key has been dissolved)

I looked around on the site at transferring. It's not made very easy. I understand that.
Anyway,.I just saw one go on ebay today for $550.

Mine is mint with the box and manual PT 8 and I upgraded the unit to the latest expansion pack. So I thought $550 would be fine for me.
But not if I have to give up PT 9 too, then I'll just hang on to it.

thx

Pete

You dont have to sell PT9 with your LE interface.

PT8 will work for who ever you sell it too.

PT8 LE uses Challenge Response and a Digidesign LE interface, PT9 uses an iLok for auth.

If you used your 11R serial number to crossgrade to PT9 it would be nice to let the buyer know he cannot use the serial to crossgrade to PT9
