FireWire Not Recognized with Ozonic

Hi,
My system is:
Ozonic interface
M-Powered 7.4.2.1cs
Mac 13" Macbook 2.4GH Intel Core 2 Duo
Firewire - OWC Mercury Elite

Problem: Just recently my firewire won't be recognized on my mac when the ozonic in powered on and daisy chained via firewire cable to the mac.
I sent the ozonic in for repair its fine.
When I unplug the power down the ozonic and just have the firewire,
it is recognized. Has anyone had this problem? Do I need a new firewire?
Any help or advice would be welcome.
