Default Sync IO LCD Screen Brightness

Hey guys,

Just bought a used one of these - any reason why the main LCD screen would be so dim? I can barely read it...I've used these before and they weren't like this. Is there an adjustment? I'm not finding anything in the manual...

Thanks!
Sig

I took it apart and reapplied new thermal compound to the resistor that attaches to the chip (since it was dried up and was no longer touching, and therefore getting very hot). Removed all the PSU and board connectors, and plugged in and out a few times. Then, used a phillips screwdriver to adjust the small potentiometer on the PSU, wiggled it back and forth and put it back where it was...and now the screen is nice and bright, as are all the other LED's and main power ring LED.

Appears to be oxidation from where it could have been stored. Some tips in case anyone else sees this kind of problem in their units.

Sig
