-- When i record, i have to adjust the Mix Knob on my Mbox Mini so that i can hear the beat play as i lay my vocals. This creates a static/distortion/feedback sound that remains on the tracks as the are created in the program. If i turn the mix knob all the way the Input side, the static stops, but then i am unable to hear the rest of my session. Is there a way around this?

I just got my unit yesterday and i'm having the exact same problem. Very annoying. And of course there's no info out there on it. I may be sending mine back and going with a cubase interface.
