OK great you are running. The playback question was not about what other people are going to listen to your audio on, it was for how you are going to do this. Lots of USB mics have their own playback/output hardware where you plug headphones into a port on the mic... yours does not so you have no choice but to use your computers audio device for output, and now you have that working so great.

YouTube videos will likely be your best bet for finding out more about using Pro Tools First. Lots of basic things are confusing initially... the classic being that you don't use an 'instrument track' for recording instruments (like flutes) you record to a (mono) audio track.

And now hopefully you get to have some fun playing around to find out how to make great sounding recordings. Including finding a quiet place that sounds good to record in... I'm imagining wood flutes could sound great in a reflective space like a bathroom. And you will want to play mic placement and mic to flute distances. Don't focus on apparent recorded volume, you can trivially increase that in Pro Tools (with the track fader(s) or Trim plugin), you are trying to find what sounds best (and then separately adjust the playback volume), trying to 'record hot' (i.e. to be perceived loud) seems a frequent mistake.
