Are the Digi 001 and Mackie's HUI compatible with each other?

001 doesn't have anything to do with midi controllers.that's all protools software related.question is will protools LE support HUI?

I'd like to know myself. how about it DIGI?

At the Digi001 demo presentation at AES they said it does support HUI as well as others . Digi is that still correct?

That is correct. The only controller not supported by LE is Pro Control.

But mixes on PT 5 / Pro Control can be "preped" for work on LE right?

Absolutely. Pro Control just provides a way to control the setting of the software. No actual audio processing is done in Pro Control. The same mix on the same system will playback the same way with or without Pro Control.
