Question Installing PT HD 9 on Lion 10.7.2

Hey there!

I hab a problem with my PT HD 9.0.5 installation that didn´t start anymore. So i uninstalled Protools (safe uninstall) and try to install the 9.0 from the Installation-DVD. Now here is my problem:

The installer works fine till it optimizes the system and do some packet scripting in the end. After 5 Minutes my hole RAM is filled up with Data and it uses the virt. memory on my SSD till theres no free memory left.

If i reboot my mac the ram and the SSD are back in normal conditions.

I did a clean uninstall of pro tools....same thing.

I reinstalled the 10.7.2. Combo Updated. Cleaned the whole system up with ONYX.....same thing.

I´ve installed other programs....no problems.....it´s only PT and the PT 9.0.5 Updater who causes this behavior.

I´ve never seen this on a mac before......any ideas someone ??

Thanks

Chris

P.S.: Sorry for my bad english

It´s a Mac Pro 8 Core with 10.7.2. and a OCZ Vertex 3 SSD

Try the HD 9.0.5 full installer (your account product)
plus all the usual pref-cleaning and permissions etc...

Is the SSD your boot drive?
