I updated to Pro Tools 2019.6 a few days ago...
My first impressions:
1. Video Engine Errors are back!!! I missed them so much... NOT. Even with DNxHD videos this error appears constantly. It didn't happen with Pro Tools 2018 versions. 2. Mbox 3 Pro is not supported. Causes major crashes even with the latest driver updates. It's obviously the Firewire connection. 2. Mojave says that "AVID Pro Tools 2019.6 has to be optimised" because it thinks that it's a 32 bit application. Is this an Apple or an AVID problem? I'm not sure but it seems that AVID need to work harder on their products before every Pro Tools user moves to Reaper, which is a program that had it's third major update in the last two weeks and wehre I didn't have any problems yet and wehre the support is awesome. Good for AVID that Cockos doesn't want to implement AAF import. I hope that Pro Tools will become great again. Best regards, Richard |

Both, as far as I know it. Avid video engine components seem to be 32bit as well as Apple QuickTime -- both of which must be addressed before Catalina compatible PT can be released.
