TASCAM 2X2 interfaces and AAE-6 error

Forgive me for not posting a SANDRA right up front, but these are machines at the college that the IT department set up (mistake #1!!)...PT 12.4 on Win 10 and aforementioned TASCAM interfaces. Open a session, BAM! Immediate AAE-6 error. Can't play a file, nothing. Just AAE 6. Here's what's odd...grab a file, move it back and forth across the time line a few times, then it works. Big time EH???? Any ideas? (Same machines worked great with Win 7 and Mbox3's, but they didn't have win 10 drivers.)

Hi friend thats an error very know around here , included myself . On my case its always resolved by consolidating the files in the session the deleting the wavecache file stored with the PT session file .

Im thinking this is caused by some corrupted file on the session . ( Like i said this how I resolve it all the time i see it on my system )

Thanks...it's just one file, nothing to consolidate, and I pulled the file from my working rig to use for demonstration purposes. I'll check tomorrow and see if IT did all the optimizations (highly unlikely).

Understand i see but usually one file is enough that cause this thing . Please consolidate it and see if it that work.

Now you mention it i remember that the sessions i saw this are sessions migrated from PT 10 on other PC or audio files from other platforms .

Try consolidating !
