Lightbulb Old controller surfaces

It occurred to me that I can use a command|8 controller with my Digi001 PT6.4 system. So I got to looking them up and they're waaaay out of my price range. Then I checked the archive for compatibility options:
http://archive.digidesign.com/compato/xp/001/midi.cfm

And have been informed that these controllers will work with my ancient system.
  • CM Labs MotorMix
  • JL Cooper CS-10 MIDI series
  • Mackie Designs HUI
  • Peavey PC-1600
A google search will bring them up but obviously there's no options in shopping. But I was wondering what sort of price range you'd be looking at for one of these units? I'm generally just browsing at the moment, but thought it'd be worth asking, you know?

What's your budget? I have seen used Command8's for as little as $400US. The Behringer BCF2000 is another cheap choice

I've seen the BCF's before. I didn't realise they'd work with protools 6 though?

Anything that uses the mackie hui protocol will work. I have also used other controllers, if you can program them to use the same cc's as one of those 4 listed controllers, that'll work too.

Keep in mind that some of these older controllers, like the cs10 and peavey do not have motorized faders... Which is why they sell so cheap.
