I bought a peak fcb8n off a friend and it's pretty good. It's layout is like that on the GCP.
Downsides are
1. Basic LED to show bank # this doesn't worry me a I can read the 11r
2. Only I expression pedal - though I didn't need to calibrate!! I believe it can be modified for two

It can save CC on/off for each preset which is pretty cool!!

Have any of you looked at the Liquid Foot+ 12+ controller?

Pricey, yes. But read the manual. Dayum!

Edit: Corrected the link.

Just to update this thread a little for anyone still interested...

I bought the POD HD500 specifically as a midi controller for my Eleven Rack and to add the extra effects I needed (harmonizer, whammy, looper, synth and voicebox). I dumped my Zoom G9 as it just couldn't handle the midi customisation I needed to control the 11R.

So, have to report that the result of this combination is outstanding so far! MIDI is working well now that I've got used to the structure/patch organisation required. The HD500 is sitting nicely in the FX loop of the 11R for when I need the extra effects. I still need to tweak a little but HD500 is pretty transparent in the effects loop and the vast majority of the time it's completely bypassed anyway. When I do need the effects they get switched in with the 11R FX loop.

Any extra latency (Deny reckons 2ms see above) is very acceptable IMHO.

The expression pedal (midi programmable) works really well for controlling single or multiple 11R effects and the toe switch (also fully programmable) is a godsend for getting a very realistic wah switching / operation.

The real beauty of the HD500 for me over the other midi boards is that
a) it gives me the missing 'toys' that I like
b) plus I get a really good and portable self contained unit for practice/ small rehearsals
c) AND I get a complete back up rig should someone drop the 11R at a gig!

Has anyone ever used a VOX Tonelab to connect and control the Rack Eleven?

They make great controllers in general. You can still pick up the original Liquid Foot Jr from FAMC. Not as many buttons and not as programable as the 12+, but a lot cheaper, compact, and works well with the 11R.

Just for information, I use an old ART X-15 Ultrafoot and it works perfectly :
2 expression pedals, 10 buttons (I guess). I could assign every stage of the amps or FX on the buttons really easily. Except not assignable ones such as tremolo in certain amps (that's a pity).
Besides, very solid unit. If you can find one of these, go for it !

Smile Re: Best foot controller for use with Eleven Rack?

I know this post is 3 years old but still worth a try...

Do all midi controllers work with eleven rack? even if they don't have/have too many buttons? I am contemplating a Mastermind by RJM music... It has 5 buttons labelled 1-5 (changing between the 4 patches in each bank (A,B,C and D)) Bank up and down switches and function

because there are four patches in each bank can the button labelled 5 be assigned to a certain effect/stompbox e.g Delay or distortion? incase if feel like a little more push or effect

Thanks guys!

Yes, all MID controllers work. The banks don't matter, patch B1 corresponds to program change 4. A1 is program change 0, A2 is program change 1 etc etc. The Mastermind is just putting out program change messages anyway.
