Default ADR Take Counter

Hi,

I need a separate numeric display counter that will increment every time PT goes into recorder. If the marker window could be made sizable and only to display the current marker, that could work as well.
3rd party programs like EditPrompt is way over kill and is a different work flow and is pricey

Any programmers out there? I would pay

Thanks

I use BoomRecorder as a backup recorder. The added benefit is that it's scriptable. I send information to BoomRecorder at the same time as renaming the record track, then I pull info from the fields in BoomRecorder and then have it display on my screen when going into record.

While that post is in the right forum, this one is a double post, possibly a violation of the terms of use.

The workflow I'm talking about, you need the following:

FastScripts
BoomRecorder
LargeLook
Extra Suites

Script relies on positioning (track show/hide and track heights). Mine looks like this...

Memory locations and window configurations are "programmed" to reset the layout for the scripts to work properly.

If you want to send me your ADR template, I can change my script to work with your session (hopefully).

Can you not just have the edit window on a screen - the region name increment not ok for you?

I was About to say, label your record track properly and you won't need it.

It's beneficial for the director or other crew (who don't understand how Pro Tools works) to see a user-friendly take counter. See my responses in your other post regarding what you could do.

Yeah. Label the record track with the abbreviation of the character and a cue # and PT will do the take numbers for you. Move on to the next cue, rename the record track with the new cue # and PT will take care of the take numbers. All for a nice price!
