Use drag-and-drop instead of the Import command. It is unlikely that Avid will fix this for PT v11.3.x.

I have the same issue on PT 11.3 OS X El Capitan using the import command, and I understand it is a problem of compatibility.
If I try drag-dropping the .wav file from a folder (like some forum users reported to be working) PT loads the audio clip inside the track but with no waveform and no sound coming from it. Any chance to solve this? Any chance an update on PT 11 will solve the compatibility issues with El Capitan? |

Hi,
First time I've ever had this issue and don't know where to start solving it. Here's the error message I'm getting: Could not complete the Import Audio command because Assertion in "/Volumes/Development/151228/ProTools/NewFileLibs/Cfd/MacBuild/../MacOS/Cfd_ImportAudioDialogMacOS.mm", line 559. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks. |

I'd start by downloading and running this:

To those dragging and dropping audio - make sure you have "Automatically copy files on import" enabled under Preferences/Processing.
Not sure if "Convert copied files to session format" option may be of help for these issues. |

I have Pro Tools 11 and it's not compatible with Mac OS El Capitan. Is any one else having this issue?

Could not complete the Import Audio command because Assertion in "/Volumes/Development/151228/ProTools/NewFileLibs/Cfd/MacBuild/../MacOS/Cfd_ImportAudioDialogMacOS.mm", line 559
Highlight - "Pro Tools 11 on Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan…is not a supported operating system (and will not be qualified with PT11)."

There's a work-around for that error. Simply drag audio into the window instead of using the import command.
(pretend that I went on a rant of how retarded it is that 11 won't be fixed to work with el cap) |
