Default Has Signal Generator Changed?

Hey everyone,

I just went to render some pink noise and was shown a dialog box exclaiming 'no audio was selected'. From memory isn't it just supposed to render a new file on the timeline? It works if I pre-render a region and then render that region with Signal Generator. But from memory I usually don't have to take this extra step.

Can anyone confirm?

If you’re rendering a file with Audiosuite, you just select the length in the timeline and process it.

If you’re doing it in real-time, you’ll need to BTD, Commit it route it to a new track.

It’s always been this way.

Hi Sardi, thanks for the reply.

Yip that’s 100% correct - I’m using audiosuite. It’s forcing me to pre-render/consolidate a region prior to processing with sig gen otherwise it splashed back citing ‘no audio selected’. I can’t just select a region of whatever length and hit process anymore.

I was just about to confirm the issue but figured it out.

It has to be an Audio track, mono or stereo. Doesnt work on other tracks.

Hey all,

Thanks for the replies. I had just done a screen capture, was about to upload when I noticed I had 'Create Individual Files' selected, instead of 'Create Continuous File' - *RookieMoment.

Thanks again for your suggestions.
