This bug still exists in Pro Tools 11.3.2.

To rule out, that this is not the reason for that (as Felix Rost already pointed out):
"For a clip that has dynamic clip gain (using breakpoint gain settings), the Clip Gain value is not shown."
Maybe recheck this.

Hi joachim. Yes, it's happening also with clips without clip gain breakpoints.

Default solved Clip Gain Value not Showing up problem

Hi,

ive been killing myself over this problem for a while... i tried a bunch of stuff with the operation system settings and in the end it turned out that it was just a screen resolution problem!

On windows 7 I changed the screen settings to the recommended one and set it to 100% text size and the problem was solved!!!!

=)

Cheers!

Thanks. Strange.
And did you try the recommendation of veenife, post #15 ? (The Mac equivalent.)

Yes I did, it's not a screen resolution issue.

Another issue is that during editing you are somehow capable to create clip gain breakpoints without never entering the clip gain view. This happens to me every day. And after that the clip gain value disappears.

Clip gain can be changed without showing the clip gain line, but that has probably nothing to do with this problem.

In your picture, it is strange, that there is not even at the very start of a clip a single clip gain breakpoint. There should be one (as seen in previously attached pictures). So strange, I would only think of trashing prefs (but I guess, that was done when installing the update).

To add to the strangeness, just tested :
create a clip,
show clip gain line,
make a selection within the clip, in the middle third, roughly,
pull clip gain in this selection down(up), just a change,
immediately (without deselecting the selection) consolidate this selection,
result : the first part of the clip (no clip gain did change) shows no CG value, the consolidated middle part does show the CG value (0) and the third part is like the first part.
Weird.
But the CG values (0) reappear when clearing/cutting the (nonexistent) CG on that first/third parts.

Yes, clip gain can be changed without showing the clip gain line. That's just what I do all the time. But I cannot figure out how I am able to create clip gain breakpoints, when I am always changing the clip gain of only the whole region(s).
