new LE system - Protools won\'t launch

Just setting up a LE system for my home and after installing protools v7.3.1 I get nothing when I click on the protools icon in the dock or the applications folder. I am running a Macpro 2.66 Intel, OSX 10.4.9, 3GB ram, PT 7.3.1, mbox mini. I also have music production toolkit. I uninstalled once and got the same result. The little protools icon bounces up and down once and nothing happens. I have never used protools LE, but i know TDM extensively. Thanks
