A simple way of fixing that high pitched whine for Mbox 2.
I've made numerous topics asking about how to fix this situation and nothing worked. You should however have the following:
1. Shielded speakers 2. DI boxes with ground lift switched "on" 3. A power conditioner 4. Balanced cables eventhough the PT says the Mbox 2 has unbalanced inputs/outputs...whatever. 5. The most important key! Make sure your gain knobs are turned down all the way and make sure your instrument is at its highest volume and adjust the gain knobs according to the levels to prevent peaking! You should have your instrument's (keyboard, guitar) volume all the way up or close to the maximum. When I found this out I was like ??? After my 2nd Mbox this is all I needed to know. Anyway, my gain knobs barely see 8:00 lol so hope this helps out anyone else. Oh yeah, if you guys knew this already.... oh well! I'm having too much fun with these smilies |
