Default Single file in Protools session appears to be corrupt, is unable to be removed

Hey guys, I'm having a problem with my Protools 12 HD. I added this file from freesound.org to my session, and it appears to be corrupt. I believe my session is stuck in a state of constantly loading this one file, and it refuses to be deleted, altered, or messed with in any way without crashing my Protools. While processing this broken file, Protools also refuses to process any other files, so I cannot finish my very nearly done project without finding some workaround.

Is this a problem someone else has expertise on? I have tried googling endlessly to no avail.

I am working on a Windows 10 machine, if that changes anything.

Load one of your backup sessions....right before you put that file into your session

That and you could start PT, with all plugs disabled, that’s helped me before.

S Key while loading PT session

S only or Shift S...I think it’s shift S - might wanna google that to be sure

Move or rename the corrupt file so ProTools can't find it. When PT complains, don't relink; just clear the offline clip.
