Default Autotune in protools

I have been having a problem with Auto-tune. There is a little number right next to the top left corner of the plug. Whenever the number is anything other than 1, auto tune does not work properly. Tunes to the wrong key, everything sounds wacky. This is the TDM version. Have not noticed this on the RTAS version. This is in Auto mode and graphical mode. I can't seem to find anything anywhere that can help me..

What is that number?
Why does it keep going up even when I take the plug in off the session, close session and restart protools?

Comping vocals today, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like some kind of sample rate problem. A friend of mine has that kind of problem with a PC version. Check at www.antarestech.com and see if they can tell you.

? Not sure here (Autotune) but trashing the DAE plugin pref. (3) has fixed other plugin related issues here.
Pro Tools will rebuild on the next launch. (open a bit slower)

User>Library>Preferences>DAE folder

Are you in 6.7cs5-OS 10.3.7, Autotune4?

I am using protools 6.4 didn't want to update just yet.. Maybe I should..
Does anyone know what that number is right next to the AUTO TUNE logo on the left? That is confusing to me too.. And that number keeps increasing everytime I open a new auto tune.. Even when there are no other instances of it in the session. So I will close auto tune and then re open it and the number goes up one.. When the number is at 1 in other sessions I have no problems..
Thanks for your help...

Hello,

The little number you refer to! is most likely the new midi node feature!! this is how to identify each plugin of the same type from each other!? if you have 10 autotunes they should be numbered 1-10 in the order they were inserted. this enables you to keep track of what midi plugin is routed to which midi track.(midi in autotune is used for midi tracking etc)

Don't know how exactly this is causing your problem! but it might help you resolve it! at least you should know which autotune your midi is getting to!!!

Regards

Chris
