Default Favorite Speakers/Monitors for Mixing

What are your favorite speakers/monitors that you have used for mixing and sound design in post?

Been looking at M-Audio BX8's but wanted to hear your alls opinions.

Monitors are personal, you need to try them out to see what you like, and what translates for you.

but I am curious if and how the Yamaha HS 80 sound compared with that Adam AX8

I'm in the market $ replacing the NS10's

For smallish monitors, I'm loving the Equator Audio D5's. To my ear, they beat the Genelec 8130's. They have recently released the larger D8's, too.

I heard the JBL 305's at guitar Center the other day and the amount if bass coming from those little guys was impressive

They also have the 308's

Regrettably both are no longer being made and go for ridiculous prices on ebay. I'm glad I got them years ago.

BX8s are garbage, I've have at lest a 30% failure rate of the amp boards
