Default who upgraded?

Is there any benefit to upgrading if your not buy the ADC hardware? What about the music production toolkit owners, does PT9 do away with this ???? OR do we toolkit owners have yet another
+400 USD upgrade to work with PT9? How does Digi figure it's a great idea to include only mac or pc installers for the price they're asking while everyone third party plug in compary, and other DAW's all include both platform installers!?????????????????????

Not one of your assumptions is true, and all your questions have been answered plenty.
Please at least have the decency to read what PT9 comes with on the Avid page.

ADC (automatic [plug-in] delay compensation) is a software feature, not a hardware feature. Do you mean that Pro Tools doesn't automatically compensate for the latency in hardware returns on non-Avid hardware? Neither does any other program. But I believe you can tell it how much to compensate.

Depends on what you need. Many former toolkit features are now part of the regular program. That may do it for you. If not, then you need the Complete Production Toolkit.

Where'd you get that idea? All you need for the $249 crossgrade is an LE hardware serial number. There's no requirement that it be installed on the same computer or system you had before.

I upgraded and I love it. LOVE it.

Actually, Cubase does automatically compensate for latency on hardware returns. I know that Live also has the capability to manually set compensation in ms.

I, too, cross graded and for me the increased track and bus count along with ADC was worth the price of admission. The rest is gravy!

The ability to use hardware of choice is priceless to me.

But.... ADC, improved track/IO/bus count... more than worth the price of admission.

So past music production toolkit owners who paid for the toolkit for extra tracks, basically got screwed since PT 9 basically does away with it...
