The M-Powered minimum is 128, which you should be able to get with your Firewire 410. I have the 410 running on a macbook pro and I run mine at 128 most of the time while tracking drums with Superior 2.0.

my mistake, I just checked and it is 128. Im tracking elec guitars up to 512 with no problem. Others tell me thats a huge amount of latency on their puters, but I'm good with that. Its not really noticable.

Are you possibly using it at a sample rate higher than 48k? If so - that would be why.
