Yes they are available as beta for mac users but not for windows users yet.

Chatter on Gearslutz from Slate himself indicates that VCC is going to be a part of VMR, and not available standalone anymore. He hasn't come right out and said it yet that I'm aware of, but it sure seems to be leaning that way.

It's difficult for me to understand why a developer would remove the ability to choose the order that 3rd party plug-ins will appear in a mix.

I assume VMR will not allow other plug-ins to be inserted between Slate stuff. This is my issue with VBC, I don't necessarily want them back to back.

Plus I need to read the inserts as they are loaded, not with a generic "VMR".

So, Slate said something he didn't say? I'm confused by the confusion of this post but not confused by the non-confusion. I must be on an Internet forum.

I *hope* Slate wouldn't do that. Even less session compatibility.

(Snip)

Fwiw vbc is also 3 individual plugs. So you can use them individually and with other plugs between them. You can also rearrange their order in the "bundled" version. You may already know that. Just wanted to make sure.

But it is well beyond time for at least another "I've been working super hard, and hired another 100,000 programmers to finish it up" official statement. And while I won't mind if it's part of the vmr, it better be able to be separated out like vbc. But overall I just want it before pro tools 14 is released. At the rate they're going......
