Digidesign 96io with Avid Omni?

you did the bla mod? what’s it like, i really want to do it, back in the day i did the signature series upgrade to my digi 002 and it rocked, really noticed a difference when i got it back

Hey All!

Follow up question with this set up...Apologies for the noob questions. The Digi connections/hardware isn't my expertise.

To connect the OMNI to the Digi 96 I/O I need this:

Avid DigiLink Adapter - MiniDigiLink (Female) OUT of EXPANSION PORT of the OMNI to DigiLink (Male) IN to the PRIMARY PORT of the Digi 96 IO

Specifically this adapter:

This is a direct connection correct? Or do I need the DigiLink cable that came with the Digi 96 IO?

Doesnt matter which way you convert. DL cable can be old ir new, so long as you have proper connection on both ends. Electrically compatible either way.

I haven't set it up yet, but I'm hoping for the same BLA quality. I too had the signature mod done to the 003r and was very pleased! I'll update when I get up and running!
