URGENT PLEASE RESPOND, INACTIVE TRACKS

I am using Pro-tools 7.3 and I recorded a total of 25 tracks, I had to make some inactive in order to record the others. I thought that was just the way it worked (new user) but once i was done it only allowed me to have 19 activated at once, thus hindering my mixing. So the question is how do i activate all the tracks, i just upgraded from 7.0 and that program provided a total of 32 tracks so I dont know what is going on. Please respond back if you can, and I am a new user so try not to be as technical. THANKS

do you have plugins running on the tracks? What computer do you have? How much RAM? What is your hardware buffer set to? Everyone will need a little more info to help.

You should list the Digidesign system you are using along with the particulars about your PC. If you're using an Mbox, Digi 001, 002 or 003 you should post this in the LE forum. You can use the "jump"menu at the bottom of this screen to get there.

If I understand you right, and you are using LE ('32 tracks'):
- Make the track heights big enough to see the 'VOICE' button (ALT-click will change them all to the same height).
- Select DYN for all the tracks (I think ALT-dyn on one will do that for all of them, too).

If you are on LE, use the JUMP button (below) and from now on, post to the correct LE forum.

32 mono 16 stereo tracks....sounds like you have a mixture of both
