L2 or Finalizer 96K ?

It's clear we need a separate rig to handle the final mix for listening/mastering purposes; what we need is a great analog comp/lim, a great A/D D/A converter and one of these two. If some of you had the possibility of compare them let me know your impressions.

I agree....The Finalizers limiter can give a very nasy treble if it's driven hard....

I got the L2 from a music shop to give it a try for a week, now is here for three weeks. u know WHAT, whenever I saw the shop number ringing on my ISDN line, I divert the call to my T-Net-Box... to bad to give back!

Er no, the finalser is a 'look ahead' multiband compressor / limiter that also has:

A optional tape simulator FX
Stereo width function usefull for mastering
5 band EQ
De-esser
Comprehensive metering (including Phase)
Sample rate conversion 48 - 44.1
Auto fade functions
AES - SPDIF - OPTICAL thru box
Bass roll off option
Comprehansive digital output calibration
SMCS 'stripping'

So the two are definetly not comparable !

Jules is right about no comparison,
The Finalizer is a industry standard.
Also, the convertors are comparable
to the AD8000...
But would`nt mind having the outboard
L2 in my setup.
