Default 9073 and 9019 errors

I've read several solutions and defragged my HD several times and nothing has made this error go away. I feel like my laptop is doomed to never properly use pro tools. I'm providing my Sandra Report, I'm a noob to this stuff so please bare with me lol. Thank you for your assistance!

Switch off the wireless adapter.

Get another hard drive exclusively for your PT sessions.

Your Gateway NV53 laptop does not show up among the qualified laptops for ProTools.

http://avid.custkb.com/avid/app/self...p?DocId=380551

I guess that doesn't mean it will not work, but probably is less likely to work with Pro Tools.
Mac seems to be the best option for running Pro Tools on a laptop.

Turion is not supported(AFAIK)
Turring off wifi is required(as mentioned)
Integrated graphics sometimes are a show stopper(why the better Pro Tools laptops have separate graphics card/memory)
This link(if you can follow it) will show you what is known to work(and what is known to NOT work)Pro Tools Compatibility Grids

Thanks everyone for replying! As far as a hard drive should I get an external hard drive or swap out my internal hard drive?

Thanks :)

External firewire drive (USB can't handle audio). Switching your internal won't help you. You need a separate drive to record to, in addition to the drive with the OS and programs (partitioning your drive won't cut it either...)

So switching out my internal for one at 7200rpm won't help? I really have no idea what I can do then.. My laptop was capable of running pro tools flawlessly before I caught a virus and was forced to reinstall windows a few times. Now it gives me these errors.

That means something is not setup right. Maybe bad drivers, forgotten system tweaks or who knows what. That's why its so important to save drive images or clone your drive. That way(assuming you clone or image when all is working great) its easy to get back to a working setup. Try to review what you had and how it might be different now. Maybe you installed a newer version of Windows? Newer updates that are not helping(like IE8).

The above comments about Turions, drives, graphics and the wireless are spot on. Allthough a few have been lucky with each one of these.

I don't think anyone is saying a faster system drive will not help a little but a separate drive for session audio is highly recommended. When working with a few things against you every little oddity adds up. The slightest OS tweak can mean everything when hardware is marginal. Are you running any other software that was not there before? Keep in mind that the installation order of other programs can affect Pro Tools in a big way. Be sure all plug-ins are current. I've found that a way to help assure a good system can be to keep the computer offline and keep non-music software to a minimum, use only approved and current plug-ins, do all the suggested optimizations and clone your system drive before any changes are made.

Excuse me for being thick, but what do you mean a separate drive? How do I use a separate drive for a laptop unless it's an external drive? I'm still stumped..
