Default moving region without any automation

I would like to move a region from track 1 to track 2 without overwriting the track 2's original volume and plug-in automation. Is this possible?

Thanks, that was it! I hope that there would also be shortcut for that.

I recently learned that you can make your own menu shortcuts in OS X. It works great.

Personally, I wish this would appear as a button at the top of the edit window, just like the “Tab…”, “Link…” etc. buttons already found there. I find that having to check a menu to confirm its status while editing is unnecessarily cumbersome.
