Default Sliders on 003

I'm sure there's a simple solution to this.
When I'm using the sliders on the 003 they constantly "fight" me and want to go back to where they were before I started sliding them even as I'm sliding.
What's going on with this?
Is there a way to make this quit permanently?

Thanks

GD

Usually, the faders "fight" if there is not good contact between your finger and the fader cap. The caps are conductive and want to "read" the capacitance from you finger. If you push the fader with your fingernail or something like a pencil eraser, does it act the same? Is your 003 plugged into an AC outlet with a ground lifter?(the little grey AC adapter that has no ground pin). If so, grounding it may help(check the outlet with a $10 test device from Hoe Depot).

I know you can't be serious about this.
Unless you simply just don't know the 003 at all.

The problem I was having is perfectly normal and simply has everything to do with the read/write settings in PT.
Has nothing to do with contact, fader cap, fingernails, grounding, how I touch the buttons, pencil erasers or any form of erasers, or electrical testers.

Thanks though

albee1952 is seriously trying to help you and he is right about the capacitance or however it senses touch. When you move the faders you must touch the top of the fader as you adjust it. If you nudge it from the side or move it with something other than your finger you will experience the issue that prompted this post. Try it.

GtrDude,
Also if you have ANY automation written to start and the track is not set to WRITE then they will kick back at you as they are trying to read the automation already written and by you touching it is causing it to NOT go to what it want. This causes the motors to work, click, etc when you go against the automation when NOT in write mode.

Holy crap Albee. My apologies.
I really thought you were pulling my leg.

I am the one who really doesn't know the 003.

Thanks for your suggestions - I will follow.

No problem. Just trying to educate as so many others have done for me. This "touch capacitance" feature has been used on several things going back to the MXR pitch shifter that sensed which of the 4 knobs you touched. The fader caps on all the DIGI products (AFAIK) are all conductive(that's why they are silver). Good points were raised about automation as well. Hope you get it sorted out.
